Responsibilities
- Plans, directs and manages activities of inventory cost accounting department by enhancing lead times in execution of staff tasks to meet the department’s goal and objectives
- Oversees implementation of business procedures related to inventory control by evaluating and suggesting system improvements to increase over all effectiveness of the business
- Provides accurate costing of inventories and that slow moving and physical inventory variances are reported and coordinated for resolution on a timely basis to ensure proper recording, valuation and disposition in the books of accounts
- Prepares departments annual budget by considering CAPEX, OPEX and MANPOWER, to ensure that expenses of the Department conforms to the set budget of the Comptrollership Division
- Assists Comptrollership Division in coming up with policies and procedures related to inventory control such as costing method, allowance for obsolescence and losses,
- market decline and other accounting policies aimed at presenting an accurate and reasonable value of inventories in the books of accounts
- Educates and develops staff by conducting regular communication meetings, in-house and on-the-job training, coaching and counseling, and other developmental activities to improve skills, motivate and promote teamwork
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy; CPA an advantage
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field
- Has background in fixed assets accounting
- With experience in financial or cost analysis
- Has knowledge in SAP Accounting System
- Must have good interpersonal skills and work ethics
