Position Laboratory Supervisor

Responsibilities

- Ensures no external or internal customer complaints due to wrong product classification and incomplete, inaccurate and/or delayed results
-Releases quarantined products(without RCP) within prescribed period and informs/follows-up with MPRD release of products with RCP
-Conducts product quality assessment during regular campaigns and when changes in raw materials, process conditions, abnormalities are encountered
-Recruits, trains, disciplines and motivates staff to ensure expertise level required to meet current and future needs of the department
-Ensures that appropriate safety, health and environment practices are implemented and observed throughout the company to meet statutory and corporate standards

Requirements

-BS Chemistry or BS Chemical Engineering graduate preferably licensed
-With at least 5 years laboratory experience in petrochemical or related industry
-Must have experience in handling people, with some background in other discipline such as Finance, Economics and Statistics
-Computer literate
-Must be results-oriented, analytical thinker, focused and attentive to details
-Must have good interpersonal relation skills
-Can work independently with high level of safety awareness
-Effective communication skills
