Responsibilities
The Database Administrator is responsible for the:
1. Design;
2. Configuration;
3. Implementation;
4. Maintenance; and
5. Repair of the organization’s database.
The role includes:
1. Development and design of database strategies
2. Monitoring and improving database performance and capacity
3. Capacity planning for current and future needs
Requirements
Operating Systems: Windows and Linux.
Database: MSSQL and/or MYSQL. Working experience on both is an advantage.
Transferring and replicating data, maintaining database and ensuring its availability to users, controlling privileges and permissions to database users, monitoring database performance, database backup and recovery and database security.
Graduate of BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology or equivalent.
At least three (3) years work experience as Database Administrator.
